"Our room was clean and the parking was good. We particularly enjoyed breakfast . Our stay was very enjoyable and have booked to return."

"It is clean but there was a big spider crawling on the bed frame. Asked the receptionist for help they came but they did’t caught it as one of them was more scared than the spider. You can clearly hear the sound of closing door of nearby rooms. So you can wake up with the loud banging noise."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Breakfast very poor. Quality of food poor, sausages undercooked, bacon swimming in grease, fried eggs hard. Had to ask for milk, tea spoons and hot water. Coffee and hot water pot not labelled. Tables not cleaned and small bin over flowing. Room fan and 2 table lights not working . Shower gel empty on arrival. No information in room about hotel all done on a QR code.which is not practical for all."

"Staff were lovely, very helpful, we were late for breakfast but they didn’t mind. Unfortunately the pool and spa were not open for our stay, however breakfast on the patio was glorious"

"Like myself, not everybody has satnav. The signposting to the Comfort Inn could be improved. However, once you know the spot, it's a good one with several travellers' services on and around the premises. The building, bedroom and bed were clean and comfortable. I spent three nights; one morning breakfast was from a short wish list, the others were from a self service buffet. Good, but as a vegetarian I missed the tomatoes. Ample parking space in front of the inn."

"Pillows poor quality, parking 12 dedicated spots for 120 rooms, very poor."

"Ideal location for visiting Southampton, there are some nice pubs only a short drive away. The breakfast was good lots to choose from. I stayed in the quadruple room on the top floor. It was big, spacious but a bit hot so we had four fans running. Very good overall"

"Hotel was great and staff were great. Only thing I disliked was the gym - the machines are extremely old and rusting."

"Staff were very welcoming and chatty. They were also helpful when we needed things. The Rooms were fine but looked a bit tired. The cover had fallen off the bathroom extractor fan and the heated towel rail was held together with electrical tape for example. However the TV had a full range of "freeview" programmes. The adjoining Hungry Horse was useful but very busy as we hit it at 7.00pm on a Friday evening. Breakfasts were Okay. Food was good but orange juice ran out, the coffee was just...

"Don't let the pictures fool you. The swimming pool looks like a big bath tub. The room I had was on the second floor. The carpet in the hallway needs repacling. What really turns me off is the location of the extra toilet rool. It's located at the foot near the toilet bowl. It looks dirty. I have to ask for fresh rolls instead. Anyways, it's not worth the price. But after all, we are in the UK where everything is expensive."

"I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, it took about 15 mins to get a cup of tea and cold coffee after we sat down and as much time to get breakfast, it wasn’t really busy either"

"Had everything we needed. Room small but only for one night. Tea and snacks provided. Bed comfortable. Quiet and just round corner to sea. Grest value for money. Check in easy snd parked in front. "

"Fantastic stay here. Staff were outstanding, room was fantastic with an amazing shower too and the cooked breakfast one of the best I've ever eaten. Fixed price evening menu was really good value for money too. Highly recommend the Hampshire Hog"
