Location is the key - if you plan to drive from Reykjavik to National parks for hiking and sightseeing, it has an excellent location on the East edge of town, very accessible. "The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails. Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close."
