Sawtelle Mountain Resort

"The resort was impressive and the fact that we were there in the shoulder season made it feel like we had the place to ourselves! Enjoyed the hot tub (with no one else there!) after long days of hiking. Used the fitness room. The breakfast was really nice! Just all around a great place to stay!"

"We arrived on the last day they were open so I feel like it was a little bit of the end of the season hum drum. However it was lovely. The room was excellent. Sheets, pillows were great and room very clean upscale."
Old Faithful Inn - Inside the Park

"First and foremost, the staff is phenomenal! The front desk was so helpful which is remarkable given how busy they were. We stayed on the last two nights of the season, but the staff was still just as dedicated to making us feel at home. The room in the west wing was small, but it was very clean and well were barely in it. We really liked the kettle and coffee setup. The pour over coffee was some of the best we've had in a room! The shower was decorated with cute animal tiles. The door didn't shut properly, but it did lock. The hotel itself is historic and beautifully rustic. I enjoyed sitting out on the viewing deck, sipping coffee, and watching Old Faithful and the other geysers. It's definitely an experience I feel you should do at least once!"

"Very nice main building. Violinist playing in lobby, fireplaces going, everyone was friendly and talkative. Our room was tidy, but not as clean as it should have been. Carpet was stained, tile bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing. The shelves weren’t well stocked, they were out of a lot In The general store, bar and restaurant. But what they did have was I. Terms of food and drink was good."

Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park

"We stayed in the cabins, which are nice. Only downfall is if you are in a cabin with a shared wall vs. standalone - the walls are thin. Also, as I’m sure it’s tough to keep cabins clean vs. standard hotel room - our blankets didn’t look to have been washed. Other than that, no problems"

"Had a coffee maker that did not work. Second & third did not work. Finally 4th try, a coffee maker that works. Very limited restaurant."
