"We stayed in one of the cottages which although a bit dated offer a lot of space and character. The room itself was spotless and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Loftsome bridge although off a main road for convenience is lovely and quite due to it being a good distant back from it, so you get the best of both worlds a good nights sleep and connectivity to all the local attractions with York not being too far away. "Wonderful one-night stay at Ashbourne House. The room was very spacious, well decorated and absolutely spotless. Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! "I stayed here with my partner for 1 night. It was located very near to a venue we were attending so that is how we came to choose this hotel. The room was a good size with a very nice shower room. The water pressure was quite weak however but for one night it wasn’t a problem. Sleep quality was good thanks to a comfy bed and a good temperature in the room. It was New Year’s Eve but we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or outside. Breakfast was ok but I was surprised to see guests going...
