"A beautiful top-notch property in York. Centrally located a 4 minute walk from the train station and 8/9 minute walk to York Minster and old town York. Plenty of stores and eating facilities all within walking distance. The hotel itself and attentive staff plus very spacious and well appointed rooms made our stay a real pleasure. Definitely a 5 star plus!!"

"Lovely huge room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles as it was so busy. The staff were showing the stress and when we were taken to our table the cutlery was chucked on a a dirty table. Had to wait 30 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The saving grace was that the food was excellent and piping hot."

"The receptionist I dealt with was charming - she created a great first impression. The roof top restaurant and bar was ok the menus were a bit battered and in need of replacing. The room was a good size, clean with some nice extras like the shoe shine sponge, and grooming kit. Location was excellent and Sheffield is probably my favourite big city. I would stay there again."
