"First and foremost, We arrived early around 10:30am. From U.S. and this was a result of airline flights etc. You arrive when you can based on booking package vacations. HOWEVER We have arrived early at other resorts and each has allowed us early check-in. Excellence had us waiting until just about 3p before we could get into our room. 4hrs! Just not happy with that one bit. It was slow season, and clearly there was an abundance of available rooms! I can't emphasize this enough. Not happy. Great room (junior swim up suite) on lazy river. Staff was awesome. Steak house and French restaurants were very good as was the breakfast buffet kitchen restaurant. Good entertainment acts. Great reggae band on a Thurs eve. Fun Karaoke nights on big stage. Lazy river and pools were great! Beach area nice but seaweed on waters edge prevented ocean dips. Typical this time of year there. No big deal. Always nice observing the Coatis that roam the area with their young. Cute little crratures. Iguanas, and other wildlife is nice to view also. All in all, a very nice resort and a great 5 nights stay."
