"I am obsessed with trains. I didn't pick a train side room because I knew the river was what I wanted more on this trip. but I wish I could've done both at the same time! The staff was courteous and knowledgable. I had to leave too early for breakfast and they offered and it was packed it for me. there is a kettle in the room! this is gold! and they were so good with when I really should leave for the airport and getting the taxi."

However, The new wing of the hotel where most guests stay , is now 25 years old. It is in need of refurbishment. Still, the rooms are large, clean, with lovely traditional furnishings. "Amazing pool but did get a little crowded, it’s quite small. Beautiful views from the rooftop and amazing food and beverage service- a great spot to work until your room is ready or before you leave as well. Rooms are spacious - no tv (tvs can be important for local news etc) or mini fridge tho which was hard cus we had medication with us- they offered the front desk fridge but we just kept getting ice.
