"Clean rooms great breakfast"

"This hotel is in a very busy, commercial area, which isn't horrible but can be very noisy at times. The Underground is right around the corner which is great. There are a ton of fast food restaurants and a couple very nice restaurants. As far as the hotel itself.... The staff is extremely helpful!! I mean that, they are great. Unfortunately, the hotel is lacking in many areas. We booked online they Expedia and was sent email letting me know that I could inquire about a free upgrade.... When we arrived, I inquired, and was told I was supposed to do that they Expedia. No such a great start. We got to our room which was tiny...I mean tiny and hot. They came to look into the air conditioning and we decided to just upgrade. Back down the stairs and we did the upgrade. I asked them to make sure the air conditioner worked before we moved ourstuff, I was told they would definitely check. . "

"Lift smelt of chlorine (because the swimming pool is on the ground floor), glass top of table in hotel room was not fixed to the metal legs, this was a health and safety issue."

"I had a great stay at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington and would definitely recommend it. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Kensington High Street, with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants."

"I couldn’t make this booking and no one it seems noticed. This is pretty poor seeing as they bombarded me with upgrade and marketing ideas before I stayed. So I’ve gone a low rating for hotel attention and average for hotel amenities etc as I’ve got no idea. Co all I know it’s a dump. However had the hotel inquired why I could t stay I might’ve been more friendly"

"Location was perfect for my plans, close to shops, bars, restaurants and South Ken for transport. Hotel and surroundings were extremely quiet which was appreciated. Room was a little warm on arrival, but quiet locale meant I could open windows and enjoy fresh air without any noise."

"Location of hotel suited our needs (close to Victoria Coach Station). Being on top of Victoria station (train and subway) made it noisy (sirens, loud vehicles, people giving speeches using speakers. Etc.). I presume most central London hotels have a fair bit of noise. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our "quiet" room was situated such that we had to take 2 elevators to get there. Strange. There was a small amount of mildew in the shower. The cooling/heating was quiet and effective. The Soak restaurant was pretty good. The included breakfast was OK (same offerings both days of our stay). We found the price of eating out in London crazy expensive in general. Loved the heated towel bar in the bathroom. The Hop On/Hop Off bus stop in front of the hotel was convenient for our one-day sightseeing."
