We enjoyed the swimming pool and arcade. Hey we even won an item out of a claw machine and we don’t typically play them hahaha. During our stay we unfortunately didn’t get to eat at Smokehouse beside the hotel because the surrounding area had lost power but the restaurant shares parking lot with the hotel. "The place is well kept and the staff was really friendly. The price compared to other hotels you could not beat it. They have a great place but need to update things like tv bathroom and doors. It like visiting you grandparents the place is well kept but it’s like traveling back in time. If I need to stay again in Lancaster again I would stay at Bird in hand"

"Ofcourse it’s great for children who love trains. We had a two bed caboose option and wished we gone with bunk beds so had more floor space for them to play around inside. Being right beside the train tracks, buggy rides and petting farm, the restaurant and shop is just perfect. If you have little ones the shop in the restaurant has some great books available too."

"Good AC/HEAT, decent space for five to six people, nice for your $, if there was one downside it would be that there were a few stains on the futon. They supplied dishes, plates, cutlery, etc. Overall a good stay, and we’d bring a sheet to put over the futon to sleep on it. "

"The room was clean with comfortable bedding and good amenities. The anrea is quiet but you are not far from shopping and restaurants. Each person receives a $12 breakfast voucher for the restaurant directly next door. The food is absolutely delicious. This is our go to place to stay whenever we’re in the area."
