"We found a staple in food one day, a piece of plastic in another. Staff was not concerned nor apologized.
The line ups and wait times for meals were wild. Sometimes two hours to get in to eat dinners- as they don’t take reservations. Most restaurants are buffets and the food was not great.
Newly renovated so that part was nice, but staff weren’t friendly & didn’t seem to care about the guests or building a repeat customer base.
Overall pretty disappointing for our group.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE OPERATING LIKE THIS
We were a group of 7 adults (ages 30–60) celebrating a friend’s 60th birthday across 4 rooms, and every single one of us had the same experience , this was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had.
The rooms were unacceptable. Multiple rooms were dirty upon arrival, and we found bugs, which is shocking for a resort at this price point. The shower was broken the entire stay — water came out of both the ceiling and side nozzle at the same time. Staff admitted this is a known defect and still did nothing. We followed up multiple times over a week and nothing was fixed.
Even basic amenities didn’t work, the soap/shampoo dispenser was clogged, and we were given soap in a disposable cup, which honestly says everything about the level of maintenance here.
The restaurant system is a complete failure. You’re required to book two days in advance, yet nothing is available except 9:30 PM or later. Otherwise, you’re stuck eating the same mediocre buffet every night.
The pool and beach chair situation is just as bad. If you’re not out there at 4–5 AM, you won’t get a chair. People reserve them for hours, and management does nothing.
This resort is poorly maintained, poorly managed, and not worth the risk. What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into constant frustration.
Do not waste your money — go somewhere else."
Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit Resort All Inclusive & Spa
8/10 Good
"Staff was exeptional and went above and beyond. Food was on point, and satisfied all palates in our group. Rooms were spacious, grounds were immaculate. "
"The maid did not leave towels, soap, and toilet paper some days. The pool concierge just takes your towels and clothes and moves them, and is very rude."
