"Second time staying here. Expensive, and both breakfast and parking cost extra. Breakfast was good, but not excellent like some other stays we had on this trip. Parking is tight but doable. The Plate restaurant next door is very good for dinner. "

"Such a lovely hotel with so many nice extra touches, like the complementary soft drinks, coffees and pick & mix station (unlimited!). We also received delicious fresh chocolate treats and bottled water on arrival and departure! We stayed with our spaniel, and she was very welcomed by all staff (as were we!). The car park was full when we arrived (only for a couple of hours due to an event), but it was no issue as the hotel has overflow access to parking in the bowls carpark next door. Parking...

"There was a problem with the room. But they did move us. I don't think Pets should be allowed in a hotel like this, we were moved as the room next door had a barking dog.

"A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay.
The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Very very difficult to get up to our room because of the multi levels of stairs but more importantly copious copious doorways that had to be unlocked to go through to next section. "We stayed at The George Hotel as a midway stop that provided easy access to Bath. We had a standard twin room which was hidden in the back corridors of the hotel. The room was gloomy and in need of an upgrade. It doesn’t match any of the pictures offered by the hotel. Go for the premium rooms they may be what I saw and expected.
