"Very friendly lady checked us in and showed us to our room, which was very clean and there was an actual bath in the bathroom, which is quite unusual these days! We didn’t expect breakfast, but there was a hamper containing continental breakfast, and a fridge with milk, water and orange juice. The kitchen wasn’t open on the evening we stayed, so we ate at The Prince of Kent Indian restaurant next door (which was also very good). The bed was comfortable and my only criticism was there was no mirror in the bedroom, but all in all, great value for money."

"Yes, it’s located off a busy road and was difficult to get into the parking if you didn’t approach from the same side of the road due to the split carriage way. "

"Overall we had a lovely stay. Only complaint was that we were cold in the evenings…it was less than 10° outside and the bar had air-conditioning on! We got really cold. The restaurant was also cold, so we only ate there the first night. The food was good, spoilt only by my poached eggs being cool the first day, and when I asked for them to be hot the second morning, they were only just warm! Otherwise a lovely breakfast. Shower very good, and plenty of hot water for baths to warm us up!"

"Had an amazing stay here. Quirky room with everything you could need, big comfy bed, and fab shower. Really good meal in the pub and cocktails available. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Pub itself is a delight. Really cosy with art all over the walls, a lot of effort has gone into design of both the pub, rooms and outdoor space. There is a really big garden area which was a joy to sit in. Honestly can't recommend it enough. Close to Scotney Castle and Bewl Water which are both well worth a visit."

"The location was very peaceful but close to many beautiful places National Trust etc. The bedroom was comfortably furnished with an excellent walk in shower. The lounge / dining area also was very comfortable with a lovely outlook. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The host was friendly and informative. A really excellent place to stay."

"Pets welcome but advise in advance, perfect location, cozy, easy access for local sight seeing and there’s lots of places to go and see. There’s an M&S food at the garage about 200 metres away, good pub within walking distance but allow 30 mins there, and about an hour to get back in the dark 🙂 There is a microwave and induction hob with fridge and toaster in the kitchen but no oven, all you need unless you brought a pizza, no big deal we just froze it and had it when we got home. All in all a very nice stay, good garden with seating too if the weather permits, come and go as you please and the hosts are very helpful."

"Stayed two nights 26/27 March. The de luxe double was an excellent room very comfortable bed had a really good night sleep. Bath in the bathroom a positive. Breakfast on first day a full english really well cooked next day on the Saturday had eggs royale really good."
