"We had a lovely stay at La Fonda! The location was perfect and we enjoyed everything there was to do and see in the Plaza area. We loved our room with a beautiful view of the church and a very comfortable bed. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Our quick trip to Santa Fe was just what we had hoped. We definitely recommend La Fonda on the Plaza!"

"The staff was a mixed bag. Tony, the Butler, Dianne at the spa, the breakfast staff at the Hacienda bldg, bartenders all great. Others meh. The hottub was broken, pool covered. Rooms are a bit tired. I’d stay again if the price was right and we wanted to bring our dog. It’s super dog friendly. The location is very good. "

"It IS unique but it is NOT a "boutique gem" as advertised. The staff was apathetic and incompetent. This hotel is in a state of SERIOUS disrepair. The handicap ramp was freshly painted and had caution tape strung across it on day 2 of my stay. The keypad lock is impossible to see at night because there is no lighting that illuminates that area. "We liked the availability of access to any of the pools n private sessions, hiking trails, did not take advantage of the massage, the food was standard n less than expected. Overall not what we expected but more for tranquillity, reading a book while sunning, minimum alcohol availability, no desiginated smoking area, (stand in front parking lot to smoke a cigar) not today. For those who like that type of stay it's great but would not be our choice for a yearly visit."
