"The location, cleanliness, service and style of this hotel are great. The only reason I’m dropping this down to a 4 star is their super annoying $30/day “amenities fee.” You’re not told about this until after you book. The pool was closed and I didn’t use the gym, so the only “amenities” I used were two cans of water. Either build your “amenities fee” into the full cost of the room or allow people to decide whether or not they’ll use the “amenities” and pay the charge. "

"All staff from the valets being polite and opening the entrance doors to the concierge checking me in/out to them swiftly providing toothpaste with 2 extra toothbrushes because I forgot mine...anyone traveling to DC, this property & it's staff will not disappoint."

"Enjoyed my stay for the most part, except for it being hot in my room !!! Me and husband complained about this 3 times and the maintenance man insisted that it worked, it was 74 in the room, we turned it down to 62, it never cooled down! We were offered a fan as the other rooms were sold out. The maintenance man was very rude! Not sure if I will be back, it was a nice hotel though. "

"It was a very cozy boutique hotel; lots of charm! The staff was very friendly and approachable. If I had one minor issue it would be the in-room coffee was not good at all. Cafe Valet needs to retire! Luckily, there was a great coffee place a few doors down from the hotel. My husband and I would definitely stay there again."

No little privacy and leaves very little to the imagination when you or your significant other uses the restroom. Not a big deal if you’re in a long term relationship, but I can’t recommend it to a new couples first outing together. "
