"We have stayed here before and wanted to come back. We booked a classic King and got the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to the Executive suite and got it. When we arrived, there were no Executive suites ready and they put us in a Signature suite instead at no extra cost. The staff here are so friendly and go above and beyond and made our stay so enjoyable. Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary."

The buffet breakfast was really good and the items were hot and the area was immaculate with staff clearing away all the time. "This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect spot to visit Newcastle. The staff were all lovely and were keen to make my stay as good as possible. My room was on the 2nd floor and there is no lift (which I knew but still overpacked!) so perhaps don't take one big suitcase like I did! The hotel is well maintained but is not "modern". It has everything you could want except if you stay at the height of a heatwave, there is no AC (i was given a fan which suited me but just a note). The bedroom doors...

"Hotel was modern, clean with excellent facilities. Just a couple of pointers. The two rooms our family occupied had not main lights and one had a lamp and the other didn't. Other internal phone didn't work for room service so used hotel's internal WhatsApp to order. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all diets (including vegan and vegetarian)."

"The County Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been very well maintained. Breakfast is plentiful and the staff were great. Only improvement would be a better selection of toiletry items such as some lotion, shampoo and conditioner etc."
