"The pool is across the street at a sister property. It was not very convenient to walk my child across a busy road. It was in the fine print. They advertise heated roof top pool. They never have towels up there and then you have to cross back wet and cold. They didn’t have a microwave or mini frig in the rooms. Which was another inconvenience"

"Great hotel. Very central, close to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf. Lots of fun things around the hotels for everyone (games, tea/coffee, pool, etc). Friendly staff and even a 1pm late check-out (very rare these days!). Will be back when in SF!"

"Very clean and comfortable rooms. The location can't be beat for going to a Giants game or walking anywhere along the Embarcadero! Only mild disappointment was the high floor room (as requested) has a view of the back of surrounding apartments and not a city view. But I suppose I should have asked that when checking in. Otherwise, everything was great! Good breakfast too."

"Large rooms and simple accommodation convenient to airport and transportation. Uncomplicated and fair price for an expensive city. Rooms are spacious. Only complaint- older building without updated heating/AC. It was very loud and there was not a temp scale to help you maintain a given temperature. Slow to cool or heat. The fan stayed on at the noisy level the whole time."

"We have stayed at this property over decades. At least 25 times. We have had many excellent visits. Not so much this time. After we checked in (two rooms x 4 nights), we were told the rooms would not be serviced the first night due to lack of cleaning staff. Then after the second night the rooms were still not serviced. When we advised the front desk, they said they would make a note, but did nothing to correct the situation. We complained to two different staff members the third...

"Doorman/bellman was immediately welcoming and helpful. The two desk agents did not acknowledge me right away, or any of the guests who came through the front door. The agent who checked me in was efficient but not very personable. He gave me information, though I missed some since he spoke while I was filling out something on an ipad. We were assisted to our room by the same man who welcomed us on arrival and he was polite, professional and friendly. The room was small but very well laid out,...
