"Excellent hotel! Excellent staff. I arrived late due to being held up at work so called ahead, the chap on the phone was kind enough to wait 1hr30 past the check-in deadline for me to get there, thank you! Had only booked the single room for 1 night, while the room could be classed as a little snug it was nothing less than very comfortable. "Room was fabulous and clean. Staff were helpful. Lack of accessible mirror with good lighting in the bathroom meant putting in contact lenses was impossible. Breakfast was disappointing. When taken to our table one of the saucers had drips of tea all over it and when collecting our food a few of the ‘clean’ plates were not clean. Food was nothing special, no better than Premier inn. To be fair we didn’t order off the separate menu. Attention to detail at breakfast was a bit lacking for a high caliber hotel."

"The hotel and its bar and restaurant all have an Irish flavour. Our welcome was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, although the ancient wardrobe's lock needed understanding. We did have some trouble with the shower doors. Breakfasts were excellent. The croissants were top=class. We decided to eat our evening meals in the restaurant and can report that the menu was varied and the food and service top quality."

"The room we were allocated had not been cleaned and was full of rubbish. After complaining, we were relocated to another room. The room allocated did not have a mini kitchen as advertised in your pictures. I have a 2 year old child on antibiotics which required refrigeration and food warning facilities and that is why I chose your hotel. The receptionist was unable or unwilling to relocate us so we had to check out the following day as the facilities did not meet our needs. We had to cut our stay short and look for alternative accommodation elsewhere. We have been waiting for our refunds to be processed as at now. It was a very disappointing stay."

"Pros * The location was exactly as described with just a 15 minute stroll into the city centre. * We always managed to park in the car park and there were always some spare spaces as well * High ceilings meant that the apartment didn’t get over hot during the recent heatwave. * If you needed anything there was a Tesco Express just around the corner. * Although there was a pub nearby we actually didn’t hear any noise in the evening or night time. Cons * The legs on the chair in the apartment were only held on by 3 screws (not 4) so I reported it but never received a call back. * The toilet leaked when it was flushed. We told the cleaner as he was cleaning upstairs and he said he’d report it. Again we heard nothing back. * There was also a hole cut in the ceiling in the wardrobe… no idea why. * It’d be nice if the full length mirror was on the wall rather than behind the wardrobe door meaning you could only open 1 door of the wardrobe. * Overall it felt like there was no attention to detail… dust was in the corners of the room, a set of tie backs had been removed from the curtains but the holes left had not been filled in, there is a safe in the wardrobe, but it doesn’t work, a couple of the towels had seen better day"

"Lovely old buildings set out around small pretty garden areas with good parking. The check in was easy and completed by a friendly member of staff. The room itself was dated but very clean with a separate toilet and shower, tea and coffee, fan, and a smart tv. Lovely crisp white sheets which is always appreciated. Breakfast in the conservatory was lovely. All freshly cooked and good quality ingredients. Coffee was available via a help yourself digital machine. We charged our EV overnight at 45p per KWH which cost us £19.80 which thought was quite reasonable for ease of charging our car ready for the next days travels. Would happily stop here again!"
