Great place

First time in a capsule and it was just great. Everything was fine apart from one guest that had feet almost as smelly as I experienced in the war. No way the management can be expected to be feet police. Ha ha. Great place. Great staff. Great location. Seriously

The management has successfully cultivated a culture of polite and considerate behaviour from guests. We found everyone to be helpful and friendly. It was quiet from 10pm until fairly late in the morning. The #86 frequent shuttle bus was a great surprise and quite a bonus. We didn't need to use the car at all in the 3 days we stayed. Convenient and comfortable venue.

Nothing over the ordinary

Lovely little spot! Busy busy busy - and that’s good! I stayed in a capsule and it had all it needed for my one night stay. Was it more than I expected? Nope. You get what you pay for - the bare minimum. And that’s good’ the place is a little worn down but they are trying slowly to renovate. Overall a great stay :)

Was efficient checking, clean & tidy room.. only warning is don’t store your access swipe card next to your iphone if you have a magnetic cover.. wiped swipe card access and mobile ended up with white mobile screen for over an hour before being able to reset.. 😬

Facilities with pool and sports well set up along with kitchen Quiet and well supervised Only the dark crammed small room with basically three bunks along wall no artificial light to see even in daylight to pack up bags Plus other two bunks far end with no hang up space or locker just some non specific shelves with people's mixes up items Toilet shower turn around size in together so could wait to gain access I got dressed and repacked by pool amenities

Staff were available 24 hours and were very friendly and helpful. Great location. However, the single room I had didn't look like the one in the pictures. It had a bad odour but got cleaned the next day. Not worth the money I paid as I paid for a 4-bed private room thinking I was paying for a single-bed room. Quite noisy but understandable. Overall, ok.

The backpackers is in a great location (walking distance to Convention centre etc) and good value. I was in a private room with private bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom was not well cleaned (hairs on the shower wall etc), but the rest of the room was fine.

No aircon as advertised. Only runs from december until February. Had a fan but it was loud and sounded like it was going to expload. Couldn't fill water bottle in room as the sink was tiny small. Rooms were hot both day and night. Bright side beds were half comfy.

The staff wouldn’t let the person I’d paid for and noted on the booking in because they wanted photographic ID. I paid last minute for my friend because they had become homeless that night and despite explaining that and offering my Id etc to the staff they refused entry. Poor experience and I would have thought a hostel would be open to having someone in if others could vouch for them and even offer up their cc.

Okej, but very crowded kitchen

Overall I had a desent time here. Most of the problems had nothing to do with the hostel itself, but rather with the inconsiderate people staying there. However, the kitchen was a cagefight because it is ridiculously undersized for the amount of people staying at the hostel and should have been atleaste double the size! I cannot stress enough how crowded it gets and if you plan on staying here and preparing your own food you need to plan way ahead!

The staff were pretty nice, the overnight guy super friendly! I wasn't a huge fan of a staff member popping in at night to check on the air-con. I think that's fine for shared dorm rooms but not something I would have expected in a private room. It's definitely something they could let you know on arrival.
