"Staff on entering were so friendly. The bed was so comfortable which was jist what Iweneeded when we were so exhausted. Great to have a super shower with strong water to properly clean ourselves. Excellent room set up meaning our bed wasn't close to the next cabin. Same with the toilet and shower. Very clever layouts. "

"Virgin Australia cancelled my flight home and rebooked on one three days later. So at 11pm I jumped on Expedia and found Punthill Sunshine. They were great, easy check-in and they had a toothbrush and toothpaste- my trip was a day trip. So I had nothing with me. The room was clean, the hotel is only 12 months old. Complimentary coffee (Nespresso) in the room and lobby. It’s a 5min walk to Sunshine station and they even gave me a late checkout ❤️ I would certainly stay with them again. "

"Tidy little unit, offered good value for money in its class. Full kitchen, reasonably well appointed with full size fridge. Living area was comfortable and tidy with a good air con unit. Upstairs the main bedroom was a very good size with excellent storage, tv and soft comfortable bed. Ensuite bathroom was very nice and clean. Grocery stores within one km and enough restaurants and cafes at a close distance. Excellent value for money! "

"We don't wish to leave a negative review; however, the Expedia listing clearly states: "Entire Place You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." - this was not the case. St Joseph's by the Sea is basically a no amenities hotel (no TV, no mini fridge, no sofa, a just a small bin by the toilet) - not the romantic getaway we thought we'd booked for Valentine's Day. The room (Room 2) itself, though simple, was neat and tidy - the decor and colour scheme were quite pleasant. If all you need is a bed and a place to spend the night then St Joseph's by the Sea is perfectly acceptable. But, the Expedia listing is very misleading. "
