"If you are looking for the jungle experience than this is the place for you. We were greeted by the local troop of Howler monkeys on arrival. Beautiful house right on the river. Locals had been seeing Manitee in the river near the house. Kenny and Shanna were great. We are already planning a return trip. "

"This condo feels like home. The furniture is comfortable. The kitchen has the necessities. The condo is gated in a quiet neighborhood. The pool is gorgeous and perfectly maintained. The outdoor deck is set up for dining and sunning with table, bar, and lounge chairs. The mango tree adjacent to the deck area is heavy with fruit, but it is still to early to enjoy. The condo’s host is responsive and helpful. I couldn’t ask for a better home away from home!"

"The Air conditioner worked. That was good. However, we were concerned to find debris on the bed … bits of sand and some dead bugs on top of the sheets. The bed is right underneath the A/C unit … maybe debris blown onto the bed when the A/C was turned on? The office was closed by the time we noticed at bedtime, so we could not change rooms or request fresh sheets (the sheets also had stains on them). "The rooms are small and minimalist but that's OK as they get everything else right. The rooms were spotless, the property was beautifully kept and the price of booking was affordable. The attached restaurant had excellent and affordable food, in fact we noticed that many of its patrons were locals. The location being 20 minutes from the airport was a nice added bonus. "

"Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! I was warmly greeted at the guesthouse by the owner, and even introduced to a family member! At the Guesthouse, I enjoyed being “in Belize”—- I was at a small, family-owned lodging for my first two days...
