"The staff here were super friendly and the cabins were impeccably clean. Had a cozy night in one of the loft cabins.This area of Costa Rica has cooler weather, so you don't have to worry about being too hot. The restaurant staff were warm and welcoming and the food was great. This is an amazing deal for the price. Definitely would recommend!"

"Stunning location- you are surrounded by forest and pastures for the horses; very peaceful. The horseback riding is a must do. We rented the family suite and were impressed by the comfort it provided: complete kitchenette, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, great breakfast, and conversations with Jorge. Him and his team also helped with some car problems. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. "My wife and I loved this property. 3 adults and 2 children in our group. If you are okay with simple accommodations with great service and beautiful scenery you have to stay here.
