"Palmera inn is one of the best values on Hilton head for what you get. The king balcony room was huge with two full bathrooms, living area, balcony, and kitchenette. Their location is just minutes to everything and they even allowed us to check ins couple hours early which was nice! We don’t even get to use all the amenities this place had as we only stayed one night. "This is a challenging review to write because the staff were very friendly and the property is beautiful, however we waited over 2 hours past when our room should have been ready, had scalding hot water only on the first night and then only luke warm throughout our stay and woke up to no electricity on our last day. It is a very expensive resort ( called 5 star) so these things should not happen. Plus we've heard nothing from them after reporting this."

"It was a beautiful place. Very clean and very historic. Owners were super friendly. Breakfast was so good! The staff was very nice and accommodating, and the location was awesome. The only thing that you need to know is that there are many steps up and there is no elevator. Their staff is more than willing to help, but if you can’t climb steps, that’s something to think about."

We had to check into the B&B from the next door hotel which seemed a little shady inside. The B&B write up claimed the it was located on the beach. It is not. "The room was well decorated and very clean. The bathroom was beautiful just like everything else in our room. The best part was the cool rooftop pool area! We had a very nice time there!"

I’m not sure what it was but it wasn’t pleasant in the hall ways or in the room I was tempted to leave as others did but I used my OneCash and didn’t want to come out of pocket for a quick one night trip. The a/c leaked pretty bad floor gets super wet. Then the a/c kept wanted to switch to heat so a bit annoying. The pet fee is pretty high and not the same as I had seen on Expedia. "I love the colonial style all brick and inside was very nice and clean. The people at the front desk were so nice and welcoming. They loved our dog also. Parking was great right in front of the hotel. The breakfast we haven’t had yet but if it is anything like the one we stayed at yesterday it will be great."
