"Apparently this hotel is under new ownership and it shows in the worst ways possible. The staff at the front desk were some of the rudest people I’ve ever had check me into any hotel in my life. One staff person, older woman with brown hair, was insanely unpleasant not just to me but to the people who were in front of me at check in and check out. There was another guy at the front desk with white hair who seemed to just straight up ignore people as they came in. Our room was not ready at 3 and we ended up having to wait until 4:15-ish for it. The new owners are now asking patrons to pay for parking in their lot which is something they’ve never done at this hotel and doesn’t make sense for the area of Palm Springs they’re located in. Our water temperature in the room never actually got warm, no matter how long we waited for it to heat up. We’ve stayed at the Ace for years now and this was the first time it was a bad experience. I’ll be staying at one of their neighbors who have more reasonable prices the next time I stay in Palm Springs. The only bright spot was one staff member who was checking people in (she wears glasses). She was very friendly, very helpful and is clearly too good to be stuck working at Ace these days. Hoping a better opportunity comes her way soon."

"Beginning started off rough. Walked in and found dirty balled up towel on top of mini-fridge and television on. Thought I walked into wrong room at first, went to desk and they apologized for the towel and said they always leave the TV on guests. Did not buy that. Rug in room was spotted, furniture showing its wear as well. Flat pillows. Pretty disappointed, staff was very friendly and location is great. Hotel is next to a busy restaurant, and everyone fights for a limited number of parking spots."

"The room wasn’t that clean, the shower was clogged 24/7 even after calling two people over to fix it. There was blood stains on our sheets which we had to get removed as well as some sort of stains on the shower curtain. I have photo images of everything and it was pretty gross."

"Floors were not clean, extremely loud - heard neighbor hocking & coughing all night and absolutely no amenities- shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer. Location was good and price ok"

"The room was filthy. There wasn't any surface that appeared clean. The sheets were some funky pattern that you would find at Marshalls. The staff, while not mean, didn't seem like they wanted to be there. This place is a hard pass."
