The hotel is set in a historical palace, but has all the comforts of a modern five-star hotel. "We found this to be a great location for our daily excursions. Our room overlooked a canal and had taxi and bus stops right outside. We enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Venice and felt we were in the pulse of the city. We loved waking to the sounds of the city coming alive. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. "Excellent location for getting on, off and around the islands….close to ALL modes of transportation. The staff were EXCELLENT. The European split king mattress is aweful! Plenty of USB ports and power. Room lighting is awkward but the bathroom night light is good. Breakfast is confusing but if you are hungry get the “full breakfast” and order whatever you want…. Once you figure out what they have, it’s very good. The TVs are a little dated but bring a HDMI and you can tap into the screen...

"The rooms were spacious, elegant and clean. Modern design, and quiet. The location was a 2 minute walk from Santa Lucia train station. It cancels the need for expensive water taxi, or crowded vaporetto, or labored walking with heavy luggage through narrow streets, up and down the steps of the bridges , to get to the hotel. "The hotel is a former Palazzo. Everything about it is impeccable. The staff knows you by name. The food is excellent. The location is perfect, far enough away from the crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance would definitely stay there again when I go back to (Venice)"

"This place is in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean except we did have bit of a musty smell but it was not terrible and we left the window open and it helped. Staff were great and check in was easy. We didn't know that it included a free breakfast because it wasn't mentioned when we booked so we missed it the first day - no problem it's not a game changer. Overall, we really liked this place and would recommend it."
