"Nous avons passé deux nuits sur Matera. L’hôtel est très bien situé nous avions une belle vue sur Mattera dès le réveil. Nous avons pu nous balader dans la ville à pied. L’hôtel nous a proposé un parking payant pour garer la voiture. Une navette était à notre disposition pour aller chercher la voiture avec nos bagages. Pleins de restaurants à proximité de l’hôtel. "The Pianelle Resort in heart of Sassi Caveoso was so convenient to so many sites and restaurants nearby. The view as well immediately at the doorstep was breathtaking. The room was spacious and luxurious with exposed stone walls and ceilings which provided an immersive experience if staying in the caves of Matera. The breakfast options too were delicious and highlighted the local produce and cuisine. We had an amazing 2 nights and would definitely return. "

Be ready to get your stair-master on. There was an inside direct road into Matera Saadi center, but we preferred to wander the old part with gorgeous views over the valley. So up and down we went. "
