"Nice clean room and very helpful and pleasant staff"

"Breakfast was good but the eggs were small and the yolks were hard Shower was pretty good but needed a grab rail to help you in and out The bedroom very clean but the duvet was too heavy now that it’s getting warmer made you very hot and uncomfortable. Needs a phone in the bedroom . I’m disabled and needed to contact reception ,had great difficulty getting down two floors and back again when this could have been resolved over the phone"

"We stayed for a couple of nights, having breakfast & dinner twice. After a rather brusque check-in with a middle aged Asian gentleman (the owner?), we made our way to Room 10, a king sized room with an additional bed in a side room. As we had our Jack Russell with us, this may be a pet-friendly room. The bedroom was beautifully clean, and the beds comfortable. I think the bathroom had not long been fitted, and had a fabulous shower along with all the complimentary soaps/showergels/shampoos...

"Clean room, easy parking with friendly and professional staff. Warm welcome with a lovely Tavern for a drink, limited menu for dinner but very tasty simple food. The inclusive breakfast buffet was excellent, good selection of cooked and continental breakfast items. We were a couple and enjoyed the knights sword fighting, brilliant performances. For families with young children there was a small park, story telling with Zog and Knights interacting throughout dinner."

"We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again "

"The room was fine and bed comfortable. Tthere were no staff to check you in or out. As a hotel I expected a restaurant and bar on site but this area was closed and no breakfast is offered either."

"Booked in, but no information about how to get to our room, not was there any thought about providing directions to the room or where the dining room was. The room was clean, & that was the only good thing to say about it. It was the first time ever staying in an Ibis, & will be the last. We didn't stay for breakfast as our flight left at 07.25, but I have subsequently found out that the breakfast starts being served very early, but we weren't told that either.
