"Location was good. Room was fine except we had to keep turning the air conditioning on. It shuts itself off. We got up in the middle of the night and turned it back on. Also restaurant kept seating us in corners instead of in the open or by the window( more desirable places). Place wasn’t even busy."

"It wasn’t bad but the rooms are just tiny. It’s like the videos you see of apartments in New York, but worse. My wife is 5’7” and she could put her feet flat against the wall and almost touch the opposite wall. No cleaning service, no refrigeration, no space to put bags. Knees hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. In an area that is not super clean or inviting, but huge benefit that it’s near paddington station"

"My wife and I stayed at this location a few years ago and had an amazing time. So when our son asked to go to London we chose the same property. We didn't know about the Carnival until after we checked in at the hotel. I specifically asked staff if the carnival festivities spill into our area, in front of the hotel or in the hotel. They told me no, none of the festivities come down to that area. Two days later the hotel had a chain link fence barrier in front of the hotel door. I again asked...

"Extremely disappointing experience at the Grand Royale Hyde Park. For the price we paid and the way this hotel is advertised, we expected a significantly higher standard. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience were absolutely poor from beginning to end. To start, we were not even given the room that we paid for.
