"This property was disgustung! The room had not been cleaned - still crumbs in the table in the room, soap in the bathroom sink from previous guest and the fridge had not been cleaned. A half drank 5th of alcohol with squeezed lemons in the freezer and dirty glass still on the kitchen area sink. "Our room was clean and comfy. The pool setting is great for morning sun until 2 pm. It was good also when beach was too breezy. Coffee and drinks available in office. Deb is the owner, very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for all around beach vacation. Parking was never a problem. "

"I took my 12 y/o here for vacation/bday/spring break…It was amazing! The hotel room was more like an apartment. Anything we needed was right there. It was just steps from the beach! There were a lot of people in Clearwater for spring break but the best part was, we were away from all the hustle and bustle but just a short car ride from all the happenings! Shops, restaurants and people. It was like a hidden get-a-way! I would recommend this place 100%!!…and my son agrees 😊"

"Our room was spotless and nicely remodeled. It was the perfect size for two adults and our 10yo. If you plan to spend much time hanging out in the room, it’s a little small. "Our stay at the Carlton House was pleasant. The owner was accommodating when I realized we would b on the 2nd floor and would have difficulty climbing the stairs. She quickly made arrangements with first floor accommodation as well as handicap parking right in of front of our apt. The grounds were nice with a pool and several sitting areas along with gas grills. It was a short walk (aprox 3 min walk to the beautiful Upham beach on St. Pete.
