Hotel dekat Colchester Leisure World

"We loved this traditional old style hotel and the staff. However dinner was a little bit of a let down I had scallops which were cooked well a served beautifully my wife had a seafood cocktail straight out of the 70,s unfortunately! Followed by a line caught tuna salad , line caught in a tin ! I had venison steak which was cooked very well but served with shop bought skin on fries . The price we paid I would have expected better very disappointed Breakfast was lovely"

"Nice hotel and great room size, good location."

"Das Hotel ist "knuffig", alt und hat Flair. Personal bzw. Besitzer sind nett und sehr hilfsbereit. (Vielen Dank!) Wir würden durchaus wiederkommen. Voraussetzung: Die Matratzen wären bis dahin durch gute, neue Matratzen ausgetauscht worden. Das haben wir als Schwachpunkt empfunden, so ausgeleiert/durchgelegen sie waren."

"Quite tired in places and needs updating."

"It was creepy. Had no idea that the hotel did not have a reception. I understand people who are homeless must sleep somewhere - I completely get that. So, to have them guard the entrance door with no reception staff on site, was slightly worrying. I couldn’t stay there and left early and they refused to refund one nights stay as a gesture of goodwill. Would never ever stay there again. Ever."

"Filthy hotel, with staff who smoke in every room. Unfriendly and useless staff — they lost paperwork and overcharged me. An absolute disgrace to the historic building. Should be shut down!"

"Clean room and a nice breakfast"

"Good hotel"

"Vanessa and Steve were exceptional hosts and the facilities at “The Foxes Den” suited us perfectly. Everything was most satisfactory and we ended our stay with a delicious full English breakfast which kept us going for quite a while!!! We would recommend a stay there to everyone visiting the area for a peaceful and very comfortable night."

"Beautiful setting, very helpful staff, lovely hotel excellent restaurant."

"Beatiful building and setting. Excellent staff. Food 7/10. Its classical which is fine but maybe uninteresting."

"Great place. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Great breakfast!"

"Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent too. Will definitely return, thanks for making our stay so enjoyable."

"Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit. "
