"We stayed at The George Hotel as a midway stop that provided easy access to Bath. We had a standard twin room which was hidden in the back corridors of the hotel. The room was gloomy and in need of an upgrade. It doesn’t match any of the pictures offered by the hotel. Go for the premium rooms they may be what I saw and expected. "It is our second visit and it suits us very much. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are very clean with comfy beds and .everything you need. Also it is very handy to park your car nearby."

"This is a charming hotel with a lovely view of the river, the weir and green fields and hills. The working water wheel is especially appealing. Very peaceful and quiet, but only minutes from Bath City Centre, either walking or via convenient bus stops. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, pleasant place to stay."

"The property needs full revamp. Carpets were stained. The AC in our room was like a heater, had to open the window which gave us noise from outside. The people passing the corridor were too loud. I had an accessible toilet but instead of being safe, i almost tripped and fell. Bath chair was broken. Drains were blocked so water overflowed. Had an awful stay and wont be booking this again. Sorry."

"You need to pre book one of the parking spaces/companies so just take note ( I hadn’t realised). Location great, room fine, door of bathroom didn’t close, breakfast very good. Friendly staff."

"An excellent modern standard of decor throughout. Spacious bedroom crisp white linen and comfy pillows. We had an evening meal which we enjoyed. All staff especially those in the bar and restaurant areas worked very hard and provided excellent service. I would certainly return. Unfortunately no EV charger but staff directed us to the nearest points."
