"The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. I wanted to charge my laptop and other devices, I didn’t have where. There are two “sockets” on one side and the other of the bed STRICTLY for phone cables. Meaning you insert the cable directly. "The accommodation is tired and needs updating. The rooms are very basic and were not very clean. The bathroom needs to be completely refurbished. The staff were helpful and pleasant but overall not a pleasant stay and would not recommend staying there"

"When I turned on to the drive I was struck by the stunning tudor style building and grounds. I received a warm welcome from the friendly staff when I checked in, and clear directions on how to get to my room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The decor was a little dated, but you could argue inkeeping for the period of the property. The grounds are stunning."

In my husband's room the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and the wall heater was very marked and dirty. Every other guest we spoke to had similar stories.
