"First visit back since the Grand Reopening after the remodels, etc. Was fantastic. Everything simply amazing."

"The rooms were a little run down (i.e., terrible mattresses, peeling paint on doors, sliding door that didn’t want to open). The property was beautiful and walkable but unfortunately did not have assigned parking which put your car potentially across the entire property from where your room was. The restaurant was okay but more expensive than the quality of food. But it was close to Belmont park and Mission Bay and the beach. Overall it was a lovely stay."

"The property is an old school family retreat. The amenities have improved over the years. The pool areas is much cleaner and more upscale than it used to be. The beach services are amazing, as is the new Walnut Lounge (Bar on the Beach). I absolutely love this property. The private beach is fabulous. "I’ve liked the pool. The fact the hotel didn’t offer completely coffee, and had to stand in line to get my coffee in the morning was a huge turn off. In addition the room above us was very noisy especially at night, and we couldn’t sleep."

"My a/c went out on the last night. I called twice to have them send an engineer to repair. No one came. It was 80 degrees so I had the overhead fan on overnight. When I checked out the next day, I complained to them about the hot humid room and lack of follow up about repairing it, but the front desk just said “sorry” and handed me my receipt. There was also a lot of noise from next door and room above: voices and running footsteps."
