"The property was gorgeous and perfect for me, my parents and my 8 year old son. What we loved most is that the guests were approx. 65% native, 25% American, and 10% European. The staff and customer service was 5 star all the way!"

"Honest review from middle class Canadian: it’s definitely a 3 star resort and I’m sure years ago it was a beautiful resort. It’s very authentic Mexican. Pros: all the staff there were very helpful, kind and answered any of my questions. Drinks were good, three bars(swim up bar too), pools were nice, generally clean, staff were always cleaning but also hard to clean when some things are falling apart and people are messy. Beach was great, you could swim in clear water, no water shoes needed. So many cool fish to see. Free snorkeling gear. But also the long pier was nice to walk down and we saw 6 different kinds of fish. Cons- our room was very old dated, smelly. There may be nicer rooms. Stairs falling apart. And worst part was the birds all over the buffet nonstop, standing in the food, stealing food and pooping everywhere in buffet. And the food was bad, same food everyday for every meal, except omelettes at breakfast. It wasn’t good food either. Even pineapple unsafe as bird pooped on it. But nobody seemed to care…there was a stage for nightly entertainment but they stopped it years ago. Nothing goes on in the evening. Overall- it was the worst resort I’ve stayed at. However, I see all these wonderful reviews about it, so that confuses me. But if you get it super cheap, and are there for warm weather, beach and pool then you might be ok. Me personally, I won’t be back, as I don’t want to pay any amount of money to be stay there."

"For the price, this is a good place to stay. It is dated and food is good (but could be better). Issues were wifi (not available in rooms). Lots of people on wifi around pool so connecting was hit/miss. No issues though with wifi on beach! Pool was closed final days during our stay because of issues with filtration?"

"This is a quiet, classy, clean, family-friendly resort. We stayed here 5 nights and loved every moment. The drinks, food, activities, and facilities are A++! Highly recommend. "

"Room was clean but overall in worn out condition. We had members in our party with broken AC units and no hot water. Some staff were great, others were not. They did eventually sort the repair problems in the rooms, but it was a hassle to get the staff to take our concerns seriously. Skip the work out buildings/rooms by going with preferred rooms. Don’t get caught up in the membership pitch they hound you with at check-in. The spa was amazing and absolutely worth the extra money! Good at the resort was overall not great but the sushi place is by far the best on the resort. Ocean view was great and pools were great. Just lots of trouble finding anywhere to lay out or sit. "

"Not for family with teenager !!!!!!!!!!!!! To old for family pool and not old enough for adults only pool. Adult pool is also the one by the beach so unless you want to spend entire vacation at toddler pool away from the beach I wouldn’t recommend. "
