After signing in and paying the city tax, the reservation clerk told us our room was not at the property.. She had a key, led us out the front door , across the canal to a different street in a seedy neighborhood to a building with a pizza parlor underneath where she pointed our room would be.

Great small city center, beautiful architecture lots of dining options. beautiful scenery in a relative small concentrated wackable area. You get the real Dutch experience without the need for extensive commuting

We rented E-bikes from a nearby bike shop, Lifecycledelft.nl. https://lifecycledelft.nl/ It was a super experience--the bikes were good quality and quite comfy. Really great English-speaking staff; one also spoke some German. Would go back!
