"Sende was extraordinary. We loved our quiet cottage in the forest but also being able to access town in a short walk. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was pleasant. We were excited to experience Monteverde but hadn’t done much planning before arriving. The staff helped us coordinate tours and all their recommendations were great. "

"Although not a far walk from the centre it had lovely feel of a jungle cabin mainly due to wooden interior. This made room quite dark but what you would expect in a jungle. Saw a Toucan a few feet away on the balcony. Breakfast very good. Stayed two nights."

"Great, friendly staff. Beautiful grounds, including their own nature trail. Great view of surrounding mountains and calories from an expansive balcony that is used for the breakfast area as well as for lounging. It overlooks a small garden where you are guaranteed to see lots of hummingbirds. The furnishings are a bit old but everything is clean and tidy. Our room had its own private balcony. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Ficus Monterverde. We loved the spacious clean rooms with beautiful views (we were on the 2nd floor of the building the most higher up the hill), beautiful grounds and gardens, welcoming and helpful reception staff (cool towels and welcoming juice - nice attention!). I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Monterverde."
