"No communication though this is not self service check in. The staff is planned 1 pm to 10 pm. There is no way to contact outside these hours. Rooms are super small with cheap furniture and decor. Breakfast was pretty bad. Bring your own toiletries."

"The hotel room was very clean and the view was INCREDIBLE! Also the gentlemen who checked us in was very helpful. We had an issue with the air conditioner not turning on and he came up and swapped it out no problem. Would definitely recommend again stay here again! It is a little bit of a hike up the hill to get there. If coming from train station and taking the bus, take bus 14. It lets you out above the hotel and then you can walk down a hill instead of up."

"Its my 3rd time stay at Ibis Luzern. And always happy to come back this hotel. The location only 5 minutes using a bus from central luzern station (walking around 15 minutes). The room is good and the price so reasonable. They provide a microwave, hot water (coffee and tea) in lobby area. They give a Luzern pass too, so you can enjoy around luzern with free pass. "

"This is a gem! Great location and a beautiful place that retains the charm of its age but is updated to be clean and comfortable for modern use. Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent with beautiful porch for outside eating. If you are driving let them know when you book your room and they will reserve you a parking spot conveniently located across the street. Wonderful place!"

"It was beautiful hotel. It does not have AC so got really hot in room. They provided a fan. We tried the restaurant it was good. Service is not the best but views are amazing. I loved it, it’s away from the noise but area is not as nice on the other side of the hotel."

"Beautiful vintage style hotel completely updated. Bonus free upgrade to a suite. Disappointed that there was no A/C. Room had 2 fans along with walk out balcony, and a large double swing operable window. Room cooled nicely after midnight. Great location, across the street from the train station ( electric trains … no sound) Central to the core attractions. Great place walkable location."

"The hotel has an excellent location, which made it very convenient to explore the city and access nearby attractions. Public transport, restaurants, and shops were all within easy reach. However, the room itself was quite small and felt a bit cramped for our stay. There was no fridge in the room, which would have been helpful, especially for longer stays or keeping drinks and snacks. The furniture was also very minimal — there was only a very small table, and even the chairs were stacked on top...

"I want to be as upfront as possible. DO NOT book this hotel especially if you prepay. It does not match the description. You think you’re staying in a nice chalet next to the lake. However, where you’re really staying is on the backside of the restaurant across the street. The halls look like a dungeon with no natural light or ventilation. The room on the website looks bright and airy. It is not. There was one window where we could see everyone climbing the outside stairs to their rooms but...

"This was the best bed I had in Switzerland or Italy. Another plus was the lovely, friendly front desk staff who let us check in an hour early and offered to upgrade our room on what seemed to be just an expansive mood. The AC was also good in the current heat wave and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Makes me think I should try more Ibis Style hotels."

"The air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave in the middle of the night. We called downstairs but we were only able to partially restore it after a lot of effort and waking everyone in the room up. The hotel obviously does not maintain the property as well as they could. They should not be charging the prices they do for rooms with no air conditioning. When we checked out, the staff don’t even ask us how our stay was. Some staff were friendly and helpful but others were definitely not....
