"We had a great stay at the Grand Beach Resort! We went for Memorial Day weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodating nature of the staff (especially Adriel!!!) . They handled our minor concerns with care and professionalism and the room was clean, breakfast was timely and tasty, and the beach was maintained and so enjoyable - all for a reasonable price, even on a holiday weekend. I will DEFINITELY be back when I return to Traverse City and will recommend to others."

"The location was great but the hotel itself was disappointing. It has a lovely beach but it wasn’t kept clean. Toys and items of trash were still there the following 2 days. The chairs were never straightened and no umbrellas were provided as stated in the advertising. I guess maybe it isn’t there tourist season yet? We assumed they would be ready Memorial Day weekend. As we were trying to relax and enjoy the lake view from the beach, they began to run the power washer to clean lounge...

"the stay was great, felt private, clean, and so close to downtown it was a quick drive or walk to be in the action. We stayed in a beach side room, with walk out access to the beach/water - this was so nice, could sleep with the door open and hear the waves. Staff was able to clean our room at the times we requested, this was super convenient as we came and went a lot. There are beach chairs and tables already on the beach, so it was nice to not need to supply those. The jacuzzi in room was also...

"This could be a beautiful historic property with the right ownership, but it is clear that the current owners do not care for the property at all. Front fountain is broken and full of gross pond water, sign is dingy and cracked, elevators filthy and in disrepair. Front lobby looks beautiful (otherwise I would not have even checked in) but the rest of the property is really dumpy. Our balcony room was a joke - the balconies are filthy and the outdoor furniture is circa 1970s and not in good...

"We love how big the rooms are with amazing views of the bay. The beach area is well-maintained and the free breakfast is appreciated although there could be a better assortment of foods. Great hotel for families, located close to many things to do for kids in the area. The outdoor pool was being serviced while we were there so was no water in it or the hot tub which was disappointing. This is our 2nd time staying here and we would go back, the kids love it there."

"My parents, daughter and I stayed in two rooms for 5 days in March during a family reunion, and enjoyed our visit. We especially appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff was, the tasty weekday breakfasts, and being able to see the bay from our balcony. We also had a great supper one evening and buffet breakfast on Saturday in the ParkShore Restaurant on site. It was only an 10 minute drive into the downtown Front Street! Wonderful place to stay, and would highly recommend!"

"Megan kindly confirmed our stay, when I called a few days ahead. The space looked fresh and recently redecorated. Loved the coffee/espresso machine, pasteries and cookies. What a fantastic room we stayed in - a corner room with two windows overlooking East Bay. The Alexandra Inn was a really wonderful surprise!"

"Hotel was nice, and the location was convenient for walking downtown and gtting in and out using the valet. Mattress was not very firm but comfortable. Calling ahead to get your car out of valet made traveling in and out easier, and we never had to wait for our car. Room was clean, and quiet. Easy to get some rest. Rooftop bar was nice, but more for the newly 21 crowd on Friday and Saturday night. Great beverages though."
