"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge on Detroit Lake. The staff was genuinely helpful and pleasant. The Lodge is steps from the lake and the back faces west, I can imagine it's a beautiful sight on an evening with a colorful sunset!"

"It was wonderful to have a real breakfast that was hot and properly done. What this means is the eggs were real eggs, waffles can be made fresh and not a frozen item, and much more. The choices and variety were very good. The building was clean and the staff were very welcoming. I would gladly stay there again."

"This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. "
