"Man this place was cool, staff was awesome too, great view definitely a little hike up a hill but it’s not far from the station and the surrounding area is so beautiful it didn’t even matter, super close to that waterfall walkway thing which is awesome, it’s just a great area loved it, and the bathtub was awesome, I definitely wore my kimono wrong but the staff was so nice reguardless made me feel very nice. and the japanese experience is REAL here aswell"

"This was a unique experience. The 2 indoor and 1 outdoor onsen were very relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The traditional Japanese food was beautifully presented and tasty. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. About 25 minutes walk from Gora station if you are dragging heavy cases up the hill! Otherwise about 15 minutes. "

"The staff were exceptional! Professional and had paid attention to detail. Onsen was such an experience!! Very clean facilities, amenities were amazing, well kept hotel despite its history. Definitely avail for the free shuttle bus from Odawara station in Hakone to your hotel and back but make sure you do a reservation for this especially if you are traveling with luggage. "Highly recommend for the authentic Ryokan experience. It has an authenticity to it that the fancier places don't. Staff and service were amazing. Onsen were great with some fantastic views. Definitely a must if staying overnight in Hakone area. "

"The Suiun is beautiful and amazing! The staff are incredibly polite and accommodating. The property has a beautiful private and public onsen, with options for rooms that have their own onsen. The views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous. The Japanese style breakfast they offer is impressive, varied, and filling. I will be staying here again in the future."
