"What a wonderful hotel. Greated by the owner when we arrived, explained everything about the hotel, offered to help us with the local area if we didn’t know how to get around. The breakfast choice was immense and everything we had was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Rich and Ada were both very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again. Location is perfect, the same distance from Bowness and Windermere and both being walkable "

"Check in was easy we were greeted and shown to our room, parking on site is always a bonus. The house is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. The room albeit small was comfortable and had everything we required. Breakfast was served in a comfortable dining room and as we had ordered. My vegan breakfast was lovely. "We stayed at The Hideaway for 3 nights in August. Unfortunately the weather was very changeable so we couldn’t enjoy the outside surroundings very much as took advantage of the dry parts to explore. The room was quite small but still ok for us. The breakfast options are wonderful! Nothing was ever too much trouble if you wanted to exchange certain breakfast items and we were honestly so full we didn’t eat until the evenings.
