"I loved this hotel. It was so relaxing. The food was traditional Japanese and some was really good and other stuff was not my favorite. I opted for the outdoor bathroom and private osen and strongly recommend that! Especially if you have tattoos as they are not allowed in the public osen. The Hakone area wasn’t my favorite but that’s not the hotels fault."

"Amazing onsen hotel/ryokan, it has multiple choices of public and private onsens to enjoy aswell as a bath on the balcony. We were in a Japanese room with tatami mats and a stunning view a lovely way to end our honeymoon and was also left a gift with a note wishing us a good honeymoon. "Hotel was nice. A little dated. The open air baths aren’t hot springs, they are tubs you fill. The onsens they have are all no bathing suits allowed. The food is very traditional Japanese, meaning all fish mostly even breakfast. Overall, wonderful place, just know there aren’t any western comforts here. Hard location to get around, but pretty and relaxing."
