Great weekend away

Fantastic hosts Jim and Liz, and nothing was too much trouble. A great friendly atmosphere and a pleasure to stay there. Comfortable bed and what a fantastic breakfast cooked beautifully. We will be booking again and hopefully soon.

Wonderful place to stay

Lovely couple, Jim and his wife Liz own and run the guest house. They literally cannot do enough for you. I’ve stayed him a number of times over the last 3 years and thoroughly recommend it. Lovely house and gardens, nice rooms, everything is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are to die for!

Stayed here many times, with each time being an absolute pleasure. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spotlessly clean with great facilities. Excellent breakfast options. Would highly recommend.

A friendly welcome from Jim and Liz with a detailed description of places to eat and transport connections. I was actually visiting Edinburgh, however the great value price for the room and the excellent reviews persuaded me to stay here. I was not disappointed. Bus stop right outside the property with frequent service to Edinburgh. Single room was a reasonable size for me, though anybody really tall or large framed may find it less comfortable than I did. Absolutely spotless and clean throughout the house and a well looked after garden demonstrates the pride that the hosts have in their property. Highly recommended.

Excellant B&B, very friendly and happy for me to arrive late. It was very easy to find. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. Very friendly hosts, I would definatly return if back in the area.

This is a beautiful guest house. Spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The decor and attention to detail excellent. Excellent guest house.

I would highly recommend this B&B. I had the small single room which is small but has everything you need. Very warm welcome from owners and a fabulous breakfast. Everything a good guest house should be.

Highly recommend this friendly and accessible spot for visiting Dunfermline and the surrounding area. Liz and Jim are fantastic hosts and we had a wonderful visit. I loved that there was a welcome message to us when we arrived. The grounds are beautiful (Jim has won awards for his gardens); the home is warmly decorated; the room we had was spacious (Americans tend to complain about small bedrooms/hotel room sizes in Europe, because they ARE smaller, but this was a large room) and the bed extremely comfortable. The black currant juice every night was a welcome treat. The breakfasts are large with many options. We completed a menu every night. Liz and Jim were sensitive to my allergies, which I appreciated. Several people asked us why we were staying in Dunfermline, because it was not a typical tourist spot. I was extremely happy with my choice. It's a perfect home base. There's a bus stop right outside the guest house, which makes travel simple if you don't have a car. Absolutely fantastic property! I have traveled frequently and think this is well worth a visit.

Return visit - just as good as before

Repeat stay - I can't improve on the comments I left last time :-). Very comfortable one night stay ahead of a morning flight from Edinburgh Airport, about 20 minutes away. A warm welcome with helpful suggestions where to get some dinner locally (several choices within walking distance). Nice touches in the room included some sweets and some chocolate snacks. Breakfast was excellent with nice fresh brew coffee and a quality fry-up served in nice surroundings. Only small criticism was the WiFi could have been stronger in the room. When it worked it was stable and fast but there were some dead spots where the signal would drop. Would very happily stay again.
