"We had Room 202, so that is the base of our experience.
Staff was helpful. Beds was all right, clean comfy, but with only one pillow per bed; the other pillow was a decoration, I was undecided if there is fresh cover on it or not, so it's definitelly a no go for sleep.
There is no fridge in the room, no elevator in the house but a narrow staircase. No chance for breakfast, however this hotel adverts itself as a FOUR STAR hotel for some reason. One of the provided milks was off. The shower cabin...

Their was no TV remote (should have been checked I think by house staff) however the staff did all they could to find another and sort the problem. "Quiet room though we were on the ground floor and had no view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were fine; the best onion bhajis of my life so they are THOROUGHLY recommended. "Room was nice enough but not practical ..... lighting was poor, there were no bedside cabinets, there was no dressing table, there was one easy chair and one stool (it was a double room so why not two chairs) bath/shower not guest friendly, the bath plug/drain did not drain properly which resulted in my having to stand in very hot scalding water for my shower and getting bright red feet as a result, there was no toilet brush either which is a basic hygiene matter.
Bar etc was comfortable enough...

"Breakfast was ok, staff really good friendly and helpful but the property leaves a lot to be desired. Very dated and in real need of modernisation.
We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway.
