"Great set up. Well stocked with what we needed. Unfortunately on the alley beside our room there is a metal grate covering a hole in the road which makes a loud banging noise every time a car runs over it. We and other couples who stayed there had difficulty sleeping due to this. "

"Check in was at 3pm. We waited in the bar with our suitcases until 4:30 because our room wasn't ready. Several others were also waiting in the bar. Why the bar? That's also the check-in/check-out. It's also the ONLY place to get ice. It's also where you get breakfast and coffee. Once in the room, the toilet lid was broken and kept falling off -we eventually just laid it on the floor. The shower gel bottle was completely empty. There was no ice bucket. The closet is a shared closet in the hallway...

"Eclectic and quirky design elements here and there, in alignment with the hotel also sharing space with an art gallery/museum. My room was impeccable: well-laid out, spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner at the bar at Metropole was delightful, as was breakfast in the main room the next day. Very conveniently located, too! My only complaint was that the coffeemaker or phone in my room did not work, and despite three attempts to get that sorted it out, it wasn't taken care of. More a situation...

"Be prepared where your going to park overnight earlier in the day to secure close parking, on the weekend and especially when events are present…."
