"The Cross was ideal for a two night solo business trip to Rome. I had a clean, good sized room with a balcony and the breakfast was perfectly good. The pool is tiny but the surrounding bar area is a nice, relaxing spot in the evening. Manzone metro station is about a five minute walk away and, if on holiday, you can reach the Coloseum in about 25 min on foot. Would definitely stay there again, especially at the rate I paid on Expedia!"

"We stayed at Hotel Liberté as a family of three during our trip to Rome. Overall, we had a nice stay and really liked the neighborhood. It has a young, hip and artsy feel, with lots of little bars, restaurants and about 15-20 mins walk on side street from Termini Station. If you enjoy that kind of atmosphere, you’ll probably really like the area. One thing to keep in mind is that it gets very lively and loud at night, especially on weekends. There was quite a bit of street noise and people out at the bars until around 2–3am, so it may not be the best choice if you’re a light sleeper or travelling with young kids. We were travelling with our 8-year-old, so this was something we definitely noticed. We also experienced a strong cigarette smoke smell coming into our room, which seemed to be coming through the ventilation. This was uncomfortable for us, especially travelling with our daughter. We brought it to the hotel's attention and they were responsive and offered cleaning, fresh linens and compensation for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. Overall, the location and neighborhood were definitely highlights for us. I would recommend it to people who enjoy a younger, artsy area with nightlife and don't mind some noise at night."

"Location was great -3 stops from Termini.Breakfast had good variety. Staff were helpful. Area was safe with many places to eat. Our room was quite big and modern facing a quiet side street. Unfortunately the bathroom was very small with light switches in a peculiar place. Also shower was over bath-not safe for elderly people and hard to get decent shower without detaching and holding onto shower head, Overall a good choice of hotel."

"They staff, from the desk to the restaurant, could not be more welcoming and helpful. That being said, the standard rooms are dated and need updates and the amenities are not great. Also, the hotel is not very central so expect large Uber or Taxi fares to get anywhere. On top of that, the hotel experienced a power outage from 10:30pm until 10am on our last night, and not one person contacted me to see if I was okay. As a handicapped person, on the sixth floor, that was not very comforting. Additionally, upon checkout, no accommodation was made, which was disappointing."
