"A lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings, offering cosy, comfortable rooms that make for a relaxing stay. There are several pubs nearby, and it’s easy to reach York city centre by bus, or by a scenic 40-minute walk. A great balance of peace and convenience — I’ll definitely be returning."

"Lovely welcome from host Jack, easy parking and access to the property. Room very clean and comfortable, everything needed for our 2 night stay. Great selection for continental breakfast in the morning in a pleasant self service dining area. Enjoyed a meal at The Plough Inn which was a short 5min walk away."

"Everything was perfect. Except no plug in the sink and the water was very hot. So not able to mix water. Also not informed it was self check in till I got there . Easy once explained though "

"The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pool etc was excellent. However the bed was extremely hard which was very uncomfortable. It wouldn't put me off staying but i would make sure I took a topper myself. "

"Amazing hotel, adequate spa. Whilst the pool is slightly warmed it quickly turns cold and it is missing a jacuzzi badly. Service in the hotel is second to none, every meal was lush and breakfast especially good. All the staff were courteous and prompt with any request. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat, just leave the trunks at home."

"The staff were fantastic. So welcoming and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The decor is a little worn, but all tasteful and clean. The bed was comfy, the shower was great and the breakfast was freahly cooked and delicious. "

"This hotel & Spa is absolutely amazing, the staff were so attentive to our needs, I had booked this hotel for a treat for my family which they so enjoyed, the grounds are beautiful and the food is cooked from the best quality, yes, the spa is not huge when you compare this to other spa facilities but this gives this hotel spa the advantage of giving you space to enjoy the spa experience, would I travel to this hotel again, most definitely, worth every penny."

"Very comfortable room and the hotel is in a perfect location to explore York. The fridge in the room was a perfect addition as it meant we could bring some drinks and snacks into the room and keep these chilled. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options for everyone. Also liked being able to help yourself to tea bags/coffee when needed "

"We stayed in one of the cottages which although a bit dated offer a lot of space and character. The room itself was spotless and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Loftsome bridge although off a main road for convenience is lovely and quite due to it being a good distant back from it, so you get the best of both worlds a good nights sleep and connectivity to all the local attractions with York not being too far away. What makes Loftsome Bridge special is the staff they are...
