"Right from our arrival the staff took care of us. Buffet closed at 10pm and we arrived at 945. They took us to the buffet and told us not to worry, our bags would be in our room. As the week went on we enjoyed the amenities of the hotel. Lots of great activities to do at the resort including local drink making, art, yoga, tai chi, meditation, exercise classes, tile decorating. Food was outstanding. "What a lovely location although there are multiple suites and rooms, from the majority of vistas they are all nestled within the land and discrete. There were issues with the room but we were kindly offered alternatives. Breakfast was included and you couldn't eat enough. The grounds were impressively level given the graduated levels of Maderia's landscape."

The hotel, though rated as a three-star establishment, boasted a reception staff that provided a five-star level of service. The property itself was well-maintained, and the room was exceptionally spacious with lovely views. Furthermore, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was quite tasty."
