"The hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that left a mark was the bed, it was quite uncomfortable because it was not a double bed but one that was made up for two out of a single and what seemed to be a sort of pull out bed. That was the only minor thing during what was otherwise a lovely stay!! We did highlight to staff and hopefully they will upgrade the bed. Thank you to the staff who were brilliant !!!"

"Quiet hotel, helpful staff, particularly the young staff, eager to make your stay a nice stay, I did notice an older staff member answering a young staff member with a direct answer and not with the courtesy I’m sure she would have wanted from him in the breakfast area, but the young man just walked to the greeting area and carried on, well done to him but shame on her, it stayed with me for a while, this was this morning Sunday 17th May."

Second room was supposed to be an upgrade, looked like room had been updated, but carpet was badly stained. Headboard coming away from the wall, they tried to hold it on with a bracket. "The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. We will be back to Harrogate and will definitely look to stay here again. The on-site Amber's restaurant is divine, and the food was amazing."
