"Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great ."

"My mom and I had a 3 night stay at the Day's Inn and it was great. The grounds are well kept and ALL of the staff that we interacted with were great. So helpful and polite. We had a minor issue on the 1st night of the bathroom fan leaking a decent amount after a shower. Staff were incredibly helpful and assisted in us changing rooms. "Everything was clean and the hotel room was very nice and so was the pool and hot tub / spa area. The lobby had a bad smell to it everyday though - it wasn't food from the kitchen it just smelled old and dirty (but upstairs and the room smelled fine).
