"Richard is a wonderful and generous host full of gentle attentions. His Grosvenor Villa has a great history that you will start discovering as soon as you enter the magnificent lobby. A nice 20 minutes walk to reach downtown Bath, it’s a central point to discover Stonehenge, Bristol, Cardiff and the charming villages of the Cotswold. We highly recommend it and we would we would return with so much pleasure!"

"While the room itself provided a comfortable bed, the rest of my stay was marred by poor service and hygiene concerns. Most notably, the bathroom had a persistent smell of sewage which made the environment very unpleasant. The bar area appears to be significantly understaffed and poorly managed. On one evening, I waited 20 minutes for a drink while the lone barmaid was clearly distressed by the volume of orders; despite her requesting help, none was provided. "I was put right at the top. It might have been nice to be in a lower room as I had a lot of bags. No one answered the telephone. The room was a bit tired and worn, not worthy of the price paid. It felt more like an elderly bnb than a boutique hotel. "

"The honor bar is one of the best hidden parts of the hotel. Location is great! Walkable from train, sights are on your doorstep. Staff help with luggage so stairs are manageable. We loved this hotel."

"We arrived a little early, but found a parking space at the property, went in and introduced ourselves. We had booked a twin room, but we're given a free upgrade to a lovely, and spacious room with a four poster and excellent views of the city. Our room wasn't ready but we were given a key and told we could park up and take the fifteen minute walk into town. Our room was ready on our return, and a lovely room it was. Well furnished, comfortable bed and a very nice en-suite. After another walk...
